| July 27, 2011 | Fall Kick-Off Happy Hour! | | We will kick off the upcoming Fall Triathlon Season with a Happy Hour at Sapporo (14344 N Scottsdale Rd ), at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25. There will be specials on drinks and food and an opportunity to taste some of Chef Stephen Stromberg's cooking, while comparing your Fall schedule with everyone.

| June 1, 2011 | TriScottsdale Announces Date for 6th Annual Tri for the Cure | | Christina Catalano, Chairperson for the 6th Annual Tri for the Cure announced the date and location forthe event. The date is March 25, 2012, and the location is once again Chandler High School. Christina and her committee are already getting ready for next year with the objective of continuing the positive trend in registrations and funds raised for Susan G Komen for the Cure. She and the committee are working some additional features like this year's Pro Relay, Elite Division, and Celebrity Division. Registrations should open by June 30 on www.triforthecureaz.com and www.active.com.

| August 13, 2010 | Tri for the Cure Registration is Open | | Are you ready for Tri for the Cure Arizona 2011? Sign up before Jan 1, 2011 to receive the early registration fee. Space is limited and registration will close at 1,400 athletes so don't miss out!
This year the event will take place in Chandler on the Chandler High School Campus. Due to many requests, the swim will take place again this year in a 50 meter pool. The event will involve a swim of 8 laps, 8 miles biking and a 2.25 mile run that finishes Olympics style on the Chandler High School track. Your family and friends will be able to cheer you on and watch you the whole way in a great setting.
Come and spend the day with us as we will have speakers, food, great merchandise, and lots of activites.
We have an online training program available. Group rides will be offered on Sundays. Look for workshops to help you get you ready for this event.
This is all about celebrating your health and recapturing your spirit and strength. So what are you waiting for? Register early as space is limited. This is a definite "MUST DO" event to start the New Year off by making a dual promise to get fit and support our commitment to end breast cancer forever. | June 17, 2010 | Sunday June 20th Dinner Bike Cruise!!!! | | TriScottsdale Gage is heading south for a bike event like no other on
Sunday June 20th at 5:30pm.
Break out your bike (cruiser, mountain, road, or whatever) and join us
for a leisurely cruise through ‘Tukee beginning at 5:30pm in front of
RUNAZ and SMC (NE corner of Ray and S. Ranch Circle North). We’ll
pick up some other cruisers along the way and stop for dinner and
drinks at the world famous Hillside Spot on the NW corner of 48th
Street and Warner at 6:00pm.
Angie will be meeting the group at RUNAZ at 5:30pm and Lisa will be
hanging out around Equestrian and 36th Street at 5:45pm to join the
group. Feel free to join us on the bike ride at either pickup place
or just meet us at Hillside Spot at about 6pm (give or take a few
minutes).
Hillside Spot is family and bike friendly. It is Father’s day so
bring Pops along or if you’re a father, let’s celebrate your day too!

| June 4, 2010 | Open Water Swim and BBQ | | Hello all,
We are planning an open water swim and BBQ at Bartlett Lake on Wednesday, June 16th! Here is the scoop.... meet at Gainey Village at 5pm, carpool up to the lake, be in the water around 6-6:15 and swim for an hour...meanwhile ours truly Marc Rubin will be playing BBQ master! If there are any volunteers to help BBQ and set up please let me know. TriScottsdale Gage Racing will provide BBQ chicken, portobello mushrooms for our veggies out there, buns for sandwiches, chips, side dishes, and non-alcoholic beverages for the group. Alcoholic beverages are certainly welcome but please B.Y.O.B!
When: Wednesday, June 16th at 5PM (please meet at 4:50 to depart at 5pm)
Where: Meet up at Gainey Village for carpool (departing at 5pm). Otherwise meet us up at Bartlett Lake at 6pm.

| May 24, 2010 | Happy Hour Thursday June 3 | | Hey TSGR!! What a great time we all had at Tempe International!! I was so excited to be a part of this club and I look forward to helping us grow as a club and as a competitive force for triathlon in the Southwest. The next event to keep the social ball rolling is set for June 3rd at 5:30PM at the Scottsdale Sandbar location. Come on out to the Sandbar and enjoy some cocktails and food with friends. Sandbar is located at: 10050 N. Scottsdale Rd. (Scottsdale Rd and Gold dust, I block south of Shea on Scottsdale Rd)
- Ice cold cervezas, sand beneath your feet, and fresh Mexican food.
- Play a game of pool in the game room or jump in the sand-bottom beach on the patio, either way, you're in for a great time.
- Sandbar's patio instantly sweeps you away to a tropical island paradise as thatch and tin roofs cover the bar and guests relax in brightly colored lounge chairs. Your favorite tunes fill the air and the video jukebox plays videos on dozens of plasma TV's throughout the restaurant.
- Watch sports on 20 flat screens in HDTV.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it out for this event as there is much more to come. We are planning open water swim BBQs, training workshops, more happy hours (in all areas of the valley) and of course the first ever Tri Scottsdale Gage Racing end of the year holiday bash. If you ever have any ideas or have some way to help promote fun for TSGR outside of training and racing please do not hesitate to contact a member of the board or your social committee.
